Young & Empowered Women Awarded $5,000
Phoenix, AZ-based nonprofit receives Jack Ingebritson Foundation grant
Phoenix, AZ- January 17, 2022- Young & Empowered Women (Y&E) is a nonprofit organization that raises awareness and educates others on womens’ rights, empowerment and equity. Y&E provides professional development and networking opportunities to a diverse group of female leaders that are passionate about service, economic advancement and empowering others. The nonprofit has been awarded $5,000 from The Jack Ingebritson Foundation.
Young & Empowered Women is on track to double in its current membership size by June 2022. We are looking forward to scaling our efforts, promoting our mission and recruiting more rising female leaders into the organization. The $5,000 grant will allow us to collaborate with new community leaders and provide individualized career resources for our 70+ changemakers.
By providing more keynote speakers outside of our current network, women in the organization are able to connect with a diverse group of powerhouse leaders through informal and formal mentorship. As members network and connect with other professionals, they will also be exposed to and prepared for potential job opportunities.
Y&E will also introduce career assessments such as CliftonStrengths for each member, which will support women individually and focus on their personal and professional development. CliftonStrengths will help guide one on one coaching conversations and be a tool/resource the members can utilize and translate into any part of their lives.
